Depending on Chantecaille’s future performance, the enterprise value of the deal could range from $590 million to $690 million, Beiersdorf said.
The New York-based beauty company will remain an independently managed business within the Beiersdorf Group, boosting its prestige offering, which also includes Swiss luxury skincare brand, La Prairie.
Chantecaille was founded by beauty entrepreneur Sylvie Chantecaille in 1997. The company is expected to generate global sales of more than $100 million this year, Beiersdorf said.
The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022.
