We are looking for an exceptional person to join our APAC Enablement team and play a pivotal role in elevating our Sales function across Asia-Pacific. This role will drive the value proposition and sales methodology; in turn support the acceleration of merchants adopting the various Shopify products across the region.
Unlike so many global companies, Shopify does not believe in making global decisions and simply carrying them out in each region. Strategy and execution will sit within this role, so if that excites you -great! This will be achieved by partnering with our Senior Sales Leaders, including our Director of Sales for APAC. There will be opportunities to address gaps with autonomy and the support of a team of passionate learners, both globally and across APAC.

Responsibilities
- Working closely with our APAC Sales Director, Enablement Lead, and senior leadership, to define regional needs, pain points and opportunities
- Working collaboratively, across multiple global and APAC functions and teams, to deliver programs complete with learning courses, playbooks, use cases and other key materials to enhance sales productivity and competencies.
- Establishes clear objectives and goals of learning experiences with necessary stakeholders
- Consistently collaborates with the Global Enablement Team to execute courses and maintain existing learning programs, ensuring up-to-date learning materials, training, clarity, etc.
- Builds strong relationships across the full sales function to increase buy-in and impact of all initiatives
- Facilitates learning sessions, team homesites, and other synchronous learning activities
- Conducts event surveys, assessments on courses and measures direct business results to provide trends and insights to Craft Leads and Leadership Team
- Continuously drives leading-edge digital-first innovations into learning experience solutions
Qualifications
Requirements
- Must have experience building Sales Enablement programs (within APAC is preferred)
- Experience forming Sales Enablement strategy at a regional level
- Extensive knowledge of learning principles and modern training techniques
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, as well as demonstrated tenacity and persistence
- Extensive experience in a sales based role, preferable in a SaaS company
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- An unrelenting curiosity and ‘lifelong learner' mindset
- Ability to complete thorough needs analysis to uncover the true pain points
- The ability to thrive on change, work well as part of a team and as an individual contributor, as well as the flexibility to work locally, regionally and globally in a matrixed organisation. We evolve at a rapid pace and things change quickly, sometimes even daily!
