JOB PURPOSE

To increase capacity, capability and skills in the team, due to extra development required in the business. The request is to create, amend and grade patterns starting from 1st proto through all stages till production. To attend and contribute in the risk assessment and fit meeting, to support production when required and give flexibility in the development process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Amend/ Create Pattern and grading for different style / product types, rainwear and outwear is an advantage
• Amend/Create pattern from sketch or basic block received following the designer requirements
• Create, adjust basic block for the new style and new shapes request by designer
• Grade patterns and create the size chart for different style and product respecting the grading steps and proportions - this is a bonus
• Adjust pattern following designer's and PD comments
• Understand fit, movement, body proportion and anatomy
• Understand /work with fabrics, fusing and accessories
• Can operate Lectra System
• Digitise paper pattern in the system, add all the pattern information in the electronic file, to prepare it for manufacturing by adding seam allowance, notches, grain line, labelling the pattern piece according to the company standards
• Give support sewing department and to check the sample doing the making process, to ensure they respect the quality standards and requested measurements
• Give support to Garment Tech in creating methods, provide size chart, trim sheets and all information required in the making process and Technical Pack
• Create marker patterns required in manufacturing process for production and sample making
• Give and organise mocks, trial garments and/or other pieces required in the daily basis process #L1-CA1

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Demonstrated experience, interest or technical ability in textiles
  • Previous pattern cutting experience essential
  • Experience using Lectra essential
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Open minded, flexible and open to try and test new ideas
  • Capability to work in a team
  • Ability to communicate well in both written and verbal forms
