SENIOR DESIGNER BAGS / ACCESSORIES

OVERVIEW:

Are you our next Senior Designer for Bags and Accessories? We’re looking for someone to join our Design team, to help create world class product that delivers innovation, aesthetic, and quality. Someone who wants to be part of a team that lifts each other up; a team that fails together and celebrates together. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Delivering seasonal designs under leadership and mentorship of Design Director and Head of Design.
• You will be designing functional and trend led bags and accessories that are in line with our consumers needs and our brand values.
• Collaborating with your cross functional partners in Product Management, Development, Materials, Sourcing, and Merchandising to ensure we deliver designs that marry back to seasonal briefs in consideration of quality, cost, and aesthetic needs.
• Aware of what is trending in sport, fashion, and fitness and ability to effectively communicate to the teams.
• You will have a strong understanding of construction and build with technical drawing skills.
• Clearly communicating and driving functional and aesthetic intent with your technical / development partners. 
• Mentoring and training the design team (based on reporting structure) that you lead in order to ensure they are creating consistent and cohesive collections, and providing them technical guidance.
• Collaborating with product management and merchandising to develop line plan and design briefs.
• Responsible for delivering work in adherence to deadlines, and being solutions oriented to solve operational challenges.
• You will be the type of person who has concise attention to detail.
• Travel for work as needed

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Education in Design (BA, BFA, BS) or equivalent. 
• Extensive design / industry experience with an excellent portfolio that covers multiple product types.
• An in-depth understanding of materials, colour, construction, style, trend, design, marketplace and consumer knowledge.
• Ability to adapt to changing market landscape and to pivot and be flexible within the work space as needed.
• Multiple years experience working on a team and collaborating with others to deliver product.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, and Microsoft platforms.
• Understanding / experience in 3d technology is an asset.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written and a mindset to inspire.
• Curious mindset. 

When normal office working resumes, our expectation would require candidates to attend at least 4 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
