Based in London - This is both a highly creative and technical role supporting both Los Angeles and London design team. Working alongside and assisting our Design Developer, you will be responsible for managing the development and co-ordination of our products: every step of the way from range planning through to production. This requires a high level of design and construction knowledge to ensure products reflect the creative direction and aesthetic of the brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for interpreting creative briefs given from the Design and Creative Director, demonstrating an awareness of the market and trends across a broad range of categories  
  • Present technical sketches and mock ups to the Design Developer/Design Director, and evolve as required 
  • Research and source sample references, fabrics and trims
  • Coordinate/source/manage graphic and print designers needed for new artwork
  • Create detailed tech packs for both clothing and trims
  • Update and maintain sample tracking documents at all times to ensure smooth communication throughout the design and development phases; closely following up throughout the process
  • Maintain the design boards and overviews for the team
  • Act as liaison between the Designers, factories and freelancers on all sampling and production requirements/issues 
  • Ensuring sample and production deadlines are met at all times

Experience: 

  • Min 5 years in design/development/production industry experience; preferably luxury brands merchandise 
  • Previous experience and understanding of jersey & merch development, construction, washes and print techniques
  • Highly organised with an ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment both creatively 
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe/ CAD packages and Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Creative and design orientated eye for detail
  • Strong communicator and able to actively network internally and externally
  • Knowledge of Far East factories and suppliers a bonus
  • Educated to degree level in design
  • Problem solving and solution orientated with a ‘Can-do’ attitude 
  • Strongly motivated with the ability to work independently as part of a team

Salary based on experience, full time, 5 days a week.
