Overview
The Ecommerce Operations Analyst is responsible for helping manage the critical link between the Ecommerce division and Finance. This work includes the reconciliation of the comprehensive set of transactions for Ecommerce, assurance of data integrity of Ecommerce financial records, lead in working with Finance on reconciliation. Responsible for clear, detailed, succinct, and timely communication with internal cross functional teams to troubleshoot issues and variances that arise.
This person will also contribute in broader data analytics as they relate to the strategy and optimization of the Ecommerce business.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the analysis of all Ecommerce financial transactions including orders, payments, refunds, chargebacks, exchanges, and credits.
• Completes monthly daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations.
• Partners with Finance, Ecommerce, and Fulfillment teams to troubleshoot transactions that do not match in all of the associated systems of record
• Assists with development and compilation of periodic reporting to accommodate changes in the business environment and/or requests from internal or external departments. Performs other ad hoc reporting as requested.
• Assists Ecommerce team with ad hoc operational projects as they relate to product upload, inventory transfer, returns, wholesale sales, etc.
Qualifications
-Capable of navigating through financial systems
- Proficient in learning how to navigate various other software systems related to Ecommerce (Shopify, RLM, Returnly a plus)
-Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze data in an organized and clear fashion combined with the ability to identify and report issues
-Extensive Microsoft Office knowledge including Microsoft Excel
-Ability to manage high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment
-Able to work with high degree of accuracy and integrity; highly detail-oriented and a self-starter
-Can effectively communicate with upper level management and external customers in both a written and verbal manner
- Prior Finance experience a plus
-Prior retail experience a plus
-Shopify, RLM, Returnly experience a plus
Education
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience; Accounting or Finance degree preferred
