Your impact

Otrium is looking for a Compliance Officer / DPO to join our growing Legal & Compliance team to support Otrium in expanding its fast-growing business worldwide.

As a member of Otrium’s Legal & Compliance team you will work closely with all departments in the company. During this time of growth you will be able to work on many different projects and topics together with your team members. You will be in a position to further build out the Compliance function at Otrium in a global context.

Your responsibilities

• You will help to ensure that Otrium complies with applicable laws, regulations, procedures and policies
• You will be responsible for identifying and assessing the compliance risks faced by Otrium as well as assisting in the management and monitoring of these risks
• You will be responsible for our privacy risk and control framework (as our DPO)
• Conduct compliance risk assessments & set up awareness training programs
• Draft and periodically update compliance policies and (internal) reports / actively monitor the compliance landscape across the regions we are active in
• Coordinate with other departments and teams within Otrium, as well as with outside counsel
• Also open for applications from people with a background in Software and IT contracting / Information Security who are interested to combine this with data protection/privacy

About you

• 4+ years of relevant working experience and preferably a background in law
• Knowledge of compliance as a function and understanding of the core aspects of an effective compliance function and program
• Analytically strong and pragmatic
• Enthusiastic and proactive team player with a strong work ethic and a sharp mind
• Strong organizational skills and able to work autonomously
• Excellent communication skills (in English) and interpersonal skills allowing you to work easily with different stakeholders and teams (e.g. Tech, Ops and Partnerships) within Otrium
• Preferably experience gained at or with a fast-growing tech company
• Have a hands-on approach to solving issues both autonomously as well as together with others
• Ambitious and want to leverage your (legal) skills and talents to have a real impact on our fast-growing business.
