We are super excited, because for the first time in Gymshark history, we'll be taking our purpose offline and setting up shop with a permanent retail space in central London. Our store will behave in a way that's totally unique to Gymshark. That's why this won't be your typical retail role - if you think experience first, retail second, then you won't be far wrong.
The Head of this store will be shaping the vision and global retail blueprint, leading our future growth and legacy. As a crucial role in our company, you'll be key in supporting the business to help bring Gymshark to life, in real life. You'll build and connect a hyper-localised and fully engaged community in your market, treating them like family. We don't care if they buy, browse or just hang out. What matters is providing a safe space where everyone belongs and feels welcome.
To smash this role, you will be an inspirational leader and coach. You'll have ultimate ownership, working closely with our GSHQ teams to make sure our physical offering is always evolving. You are more than excited to be part of the team that's about to rip up the rule book and re-write retail.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Represent the Gymshark culture and values, be a natural brand ambassador in everything you do and be passionate about our community and their experience of Gymshark
- Responsible for the overall day to day and strategic running of the store - you'll be thinking two years ahead whilst being present in the now
- Responsible for and driving sales, KPI's, halo impact and P&L for our first ever IRL store
- Be clear on Gymshark's retail vision to execute in market and create and execute your strategy for your store
- Identify and act upon community, commercial and operational opportunities. You know your market better than anyone - if you see an opportunity, go after it
- Communicate feedback and solutions clearly and effectively to our retail and global teams with a collaborative approach and can-do attitude
- Gatekeeper for brand, customer experience, product knowledge and operational best practice and be able to train the wider team
- Responsible for all Gymshark's most important assets: our people, customers, and community, to ensure they and their environment are safe and sound at all times
- Have responsibility for physical assets such as building, stock and tech and ensure any losses are minimised and everything is running as it should
- Working closely with the head of retail operations to create best practices (both operational and commercial) and building the blueprint for our future stores
- Lead and support your deputy managers with the execution of store driven projects as and when needed
- Accountable for the creation of an event calendar that serves your local community, athletes and product launches and encourage engagement, UGC and interaction with the Gymshark App
- Responsible for feeding locally relevant, on-brand content to the social media team for use across our channels
- Accountable for an inclusive, best-in-class retail experience, from customer experience, VM, employee engagement and everything in between
- Accountable for unified commerce initiatives within your store, for example RFID or Click and Collect
- Accountable for efficient and effective store scheduling that supports the needs of the business and adhering to people cost budget
- Responsible for the hiring of your store teams, developing and coaching your own successor and building a pipeline of talent which reflects our values and culture
- Accountable for all stock in the store (in and outward bound), ensuring best practises are adhered to and stock inventory is accurate, and losses minimised
- Responsible for managing the store's budget
- Line management of store leadership. Support, coach, and train others to grow personally and professionally, and at the same time secure your own learning and development. Nurture and grow your local network
- Influence and lead an instore culture underpinned by our values - holding diversity and inclusion at the heart of all decisions. Always prioritise the wellbeing of the team, driving positive actions to create the best possible environment for our Gymshark family
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Experience as a leader within in a fast paced, high volume, agile environment
- Proven track record of managing / leading / developing teams of 100+
- Extensive digital experience, tech savvy and comfortable with unified commerce
- Community building in a new market
- Highly effective communicator, written and verbal
- Must be able to take and give constructive feedback
- Comfortable shifting gears and spinning multiple plates
- Creative and entrepreneurial mindset
- Acutely aware of the everchanging macro and competitor landscape and how that impacts your business and team
