Striped Delight
This was always one of my favorite dessert recipes my mom made growing up. The bad thing was that she only made it when we had company. I don’t know why, this four layer delight is super simple to whip up, plus light and satisfying no matter what the main dish. My kids love this pudding dessert too. Sometimes we use vanilla pudding (like in the pictures), but other times we mix it up with a chocolate pudding layer, strawberry pudding, lemon pudding, white chocolate pudding, or whatever else we happen to have on hand. Either way, this striped delight dessert is super pretty, easy-to-make, and delicious!

All you need to whip up this family favorite dessert recipe are a few simple ingredients:
- graham crackers (pre-crushed or make them in a food processor or ziplock bag)
- granulated sugar
- butter, melted
- cream cheese
- milk
- whipped topping (such as Cool Whip or Tru Whip)
- 3.4 ounces instant pudding (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, lemon, white chocolate, etc.)
- cold milk
Striped Delight Dessert
Start by making the crust. You can make your own graham cracker crumbs by pulsing graham crackers in a food processor. Then combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/3 cup melted butter.
HINT: I usually make the crumbs and combine sugar, crumbs, and butter all in the food processor. It makes quick work of it and saves bowels!
Press the crumb mixture firmly in the bottom of a 9×13 baking pan.
Layered pudding dessert
I wash out the food processor and beat the 8 ounces of cream cheese with 1/2 cup of sugar and 2 Tabolespoons of milk until smooth. Fold about 1/2 of 4 ounce container of whipped topping (Cool Whip, Tru Whip, or home whipped sweetend whipping cream).
Carefully spread the cream cheese mixture over the graham crust with a spatula.

Whisk together 3 cups of cold milk and 4-serving pudding mix until it starts to thicken.
Pour pudding over cream cheese layer and spread to make it an even layer.

Chill the first three layers several hours. Now spread the remaining 4 ounes whipped topping (or more if you want) over the pudding layer.
Keep covered in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve the pudding dessert.
When you are ready to serve, remove the foil covering and garnish with nuts or chocolate.

Striped Delight – 4 Layer Vanilla Pudding Dessert Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup butter melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 3 1/2 cups milk
- 8 ounces whipped topping Cool Whip, Tru Whip, or homemade whipped topping
- 3.4 ounce instant pudding 4-serving package in any flavor – chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, lemon
- nuts or chocolate optional garnish
Instructions
- Combine graham cracker crumbs, ¼ cup sugar, and melted butter in a food processor and pulse until well combined. Press the bread crumbs mixture firmly in the bottom of a 9×13 pan.
- Beat together the cream cheese with 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons milk until smooth. Fold ½ of the whipped topping conatiner. Spread the cream cheese mixtures over the crust.
- Whish together 3 cups cold milk and pudding mix. Spread evenly over the cream cheese layer. Chill several hours.
- Spread the remaining whipped topping over the set pudding. Store covered in the refrigerator until ready to eat. You can garnish with nuts or chocolate before serving.
