STINE GOYA is looking for an Assistant Print Designer to support the design team in developing our unique inhouse prints and process them from start to end in close collaboration with our Print Designer.

STINE GOYA is currently in a strong period of development and we are therefore expanding our design team to fulfill our creative ambitions for our RTW and Accessories collections.

Our new Assistant Print Designer will have excellent creative skills with strong technical craftmanship and become part of an experienced, ambitious, and enthusiastic design team. The candidate will work closely together with our Print Designer and report to Stine Goya.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support the creation of artwork either by hand painting/drawing or by Photoshop and Illustrator. This will include making colorways from the seasonal color palette, continuous artwork repeats, artwork cleaning and adjustments in scale and instructing artwork placement on garments
  • Supporting Print Designer with reviewing lab dips and strike offs, adapting the prints for RTW to accessories setups and in additional research and creation of specific print artwork for capsule collections and special projects.
  • Translate the Stine Goya aesthetic it into colour ways and print development
  • Experimenting with different techniques for print, jacquard and intarsia
  • Creating and updating technical setups daily
  • Create CADs and mock-ups of prints for in-house presentations
  • Creating color-ups on sketches and flats on illustrator
  • Ensure design boards are updated with most recent and accurate information.
  • Updating and maintaining seasonal color palettes and seasonal print moodboards
  • Support with general studio organization, such as arranging print boards and organize digital files in shared folders
  • Work proactively according to development calendar, to stay ahead of timelines
  • Supporting the design team being on set or backstage at Runway shows
  • Supporting the design team during lookbooks, e-com lookbooks and campaign shoots. 

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2+ years of relevant design experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
  • Confident in hand drawing and painting for print design
  • Skilled in the creation of print repeats for all overs
  • Strong sense of color. Excellent color matching and color communication skills
  • Must be creative, hardworking, positive and a team player with strong communication skills
  • Enthusiastic about artwork and garment design
  • Self-motivated, organized and able to work towards tight deadlines
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment and adapt to change
  • Fluency in English.
