OVERVIEW:
The Business Manager of Strategic Operations is part of our store leadership team; responsible for executing business and communication strategies that engage, support and activate 59th Street and the NYC trade area. In this role, the BM will act as a strategic partner to key leaders across all pyramids and functions. As a highly-visible representative of our customer-centric operation, the BM will use internal and industry-specific data to influence the delivery of key business results. In this role, he/she will support the senior store leadership in ensuring that customer feedback is heard and considered in the execution of strategy. The ideal candidate will possess excellent critical thinking, communication and technical skills; as well as, the ability to function independently, which will allow him/her to expedite and support the daily, weekly, seasonal, and annual communications and goal achievements of the store. With oversight of storewide initiatives, the BM will challenge and evolve current practices and communication protocol to support our Mission, Values, and Path to Growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Customer Experience
- Review trends in customer feedback; recapping analytics of Loyallist, Selling Technology, and Style Advisors to ensure we are addressing needs and exploiting growth opportunities
Strategic Operations
- Identify business trends and create or aggregate customized business reports that inform and are business driving; ensuring data integrity; and, providing for leadership strategy development and in support of special projects
- Liaise with Central partners to launch storewide campaigns/events - e.g., GPGM, Friends and Family, TBGB; tracking progress, providing statistical data; as well, overseeing the implementation of supporting events
- Confidently handle sensitive, complex issues in a timely and effective manner - communicating and collaborating with the leadership team as needed
Communication
- Develop and create Trade Area communication content; utilizing internal systems - Share Point, Email, Internet, etc. - to communicate key business initiatives that inform, align and energize our teams across all pyramids/functions
- Build and execute a communication calendar to structure the flow of communication to reflects core business needs and builds culture
- Oversee the planning and execution of large-scale store-wide business-driving events
Engagement/Recognition
- In partnership with pyramid leaders and HR, oversee formal and informal store-wide recognition, engagement and quality of employee life Events
- Oversee the roll out and implementation of colleague engagement/pulse surveys; aggregating responses and identifying trends by function and area; partnering with HR and Store Leadership on strategies to address trends
- Oversees and own the creation and maintenance of Recognition walls in their respective locations
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- 4 year college degree and 3 years of leadership/managerial or project management experience, preferably within Retail or Fashion industry
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; possessing the ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner
- Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents
Mathematical Skills:
- Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to understand retail math
Reasoning Ability:
- Requires the ability to manage resources and workflow independently and effectively with minimal direction to drive business outcomes and lead via influence
Physical Demands:
- This position involves regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or ladder climbing
- Able to lift 10lbs
- May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Involves use of hands and fingers for typing on keyboard and using a mouse
