The Shopify Fulfillment Network (SFN) is early in our mission to democratize fulfillment, but it's one we take very seriously. We can't carry out this mission without putting our merchants' needs first, and we feel now is the perfect time to add additional Supply Chain Planners to the team.
The team that you'd be joining is working at the forefront of an incredibly exciting and complex Shopify product. These are the folks who plan the capabilities of SFN, including inbound and outbound shipments, materials, capacity, and more. We ensure our merchants have the right products in the right place at the right time, and our nodes have the right plans in place to ship them quickly. When you think that our total merchant base is now into the millions of merchants in over 175 countries, you get an idea of just how complex this problem set is. NOW is the chance to get in on the ground floor. We need someone with a strong supply chain background and proven ability to manage numerous complex priorities. Please come work for us if you love big open-ended problems, a focus on strategy and planning, and an obsession with building for the long term.
The supply chain planner will work closely with our operations and planning teams in managing the end-to-end supply chain for our fulfillment services. This will include:

Challenge question
Tell us about a time you have been able to solve a problem creatively or work with ambiguity. How did you get to your solution, and how did it go? What would you do differently next time?

Experience comes in many forms, many skills are transferable, and passion goes a long way. If your experience is close to what we're looking for, consider applying.
