This is a full time, junior position based in our studio in London. You will oversee the technical aspects of both development and production, reporting to the Product Manager and working closely alongside the Production and Development Coordinator. By analysing garment construction, finishing and sizing, you are responsible for ensuring products are produced to a high quality and are well fitting.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Design Team and Product Manager to launch initial tech packs for sample development, providing technical guidance regarding fabrics, garment construction and fit.
  • Organising and participating in fittings for development and production, taking notes and providing technical assistance.
  • Responsible for measuring all garments and developing spec charts and fitting comments for each style.
  • Regular communication with factories to answer their questions and provide them with technical assistance during the development stage.
  • Ensure all styles being launched into production are fitted, cross-checking against any amendments made at SMS stage as well as any customer feedback received from the sales team.
  • Check final product costings and bill of materials against all SMS before launching PPS.
  • Approving PPS samples and preparing final tech packs and gradation sheets for the factories.
  • Handover garment and sizing information for wholesale and ecommerce upload.
  • Responsible for compiling wash care instructions and disclaimers, creating templates for care labels.
  • Managing external fabric testing.
  • Following-up any technical and quality issues with the factories during production, liaising with Product Manager and Production Coordinator.
  • Checking grading results and flagging any discrepancies with the factories.
  • Book Quality Control with an external agency or travel to factories for QC.
  • Compiling technical certification documents required for sales and logistics.
  • Seasonal review of technical manuals for internal and external use.
  • Responsible for the gold seal archive and sample hand-over to sales/press.
  • Responsible for logging RTV returns.
  • Visiting factories to work on technical issues, finishings and building relationships.
  • Supporting to maintain an up-to-date digital pattern archive.

 

​Required Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of garment construction, finishings and patterns.
  • Experience working with different product categories including RTW, knitwear and jersey.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with external partners.
  • Critical eye for detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office pack (Excel is a must), or google sheets.
  • Team player
  • Problem solver
  • Experience of Zedonk would be beneficial.
  • Multi languages desirable (Italian/Portuguese/French)
