Print & Textile Designer

We are looking for a Print & Textile designer to join our dedicated design team. You will support the Head of Print & Textile Design by proposing, creating and following-up on prints of the season and special projects in the direction set by the design director following the seasonal inspiration.

The work environment at Acne Studios is fast-paced and energetic; no day is ever the same. The role is based at Acne Studios headquarters in Stockholm.

Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Do research for new and innovative print designs and techniques reflecting the brand aesthetics/image
• Create artwork, colorways and experiment with techniques for print, jacquard and intarsia
• Modify and finalize artworks and create print repeats for allovers
• Visualize and execute placement prints
• Create technical packs (artwork specification, scale, color, etc.) to launch at print facilities
• Maintain close collaboration with related departments, such as various category designers and development
• Support with general studio organization, such as arranging print boards and oversee interns

Desired qualifications:

• Academic degree, from Design, Graphic and/or Textile Education
• A minimum of 3 years professional experience, preferably from high end fashion brands
• Excellent language skills, fluency in English is a requirement
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe package
• Excellent knowledge of textile design processes and experimentations
• Strong research, conceptual and creative skills
• Self-motivated, organized and able to work towards tight deadlines
• Cooperative and a team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude
