Around the world coloring pages

Last year we studied geography. As we took a “trip” around the world. We learned about many countries. I grew up as a missionary kid in Europe, so helping my kids learn about other nations is super important to me. There are so many amazing places around the world, so much history that kids can see / touch / feel / experience, and amazing, friendly people in every country.

We did several things for each country that we learned about:

found the country on a map (or use our free printable maps)
printed this around the world coloring pages to get a glimps of the country at a glance
looked the country up on National Geographic to see some amazingly well photgraphed pictures of life in the country (including wildlife!)
prepared a meal filled with typical dishes served from that country (my kids love eating food from around the world)
older students would read an additional book learning more about the country, famous person from that country, family landmark, industry, etc. and write a 1 page report
younger students typically made a craft with me that represented something that country is known for

Countries coloring pages

Young kids learn best by hands-on learning activities. So as we studied other nations, I wanted something the kids could see and do as well as hear. Plus, we loved that could keep all the countries coloring pages we made and put them together in a book (along with any othe rerports, information, or pictures of what we did) to create a fun keepsake of our educational learning activity.

Around the world colouring pages

Print the sheets for the countries you want to learn about. Give each student the country coloring page. Children will use crayons, markers, colored pencils, or gel pens to color their cute coloring page. As kids color, point out the information it contains such as famous landmarks, country flag, country shape, label the capital, typical dress, and so much more. There is also a section with key country facts on each page.

World Coloring Pages

Each page includes a picture of children around the world and what they would wear if they wore the traditional outfit from that country. There are so many things for kids to visualize to really get an idea of what each country is known for. This is a great kids activity for geography, social studies, and current events – or to do together as a family!
